This is the second year of the Prodigy Program.
You want to join Toastmasters just being evaluated at practice with other speakers.
You want to keep getting better.
I want you to keep in mind to keep evaluating yourselves.
Let's say together…
I must work on myself.
Master my craft, I love this.
I want it to reveal its secrets to me.
I will focus.
I will concentrate.
I will meditate.
I will pray.
I will get better and better and better.
I'm not going to give up and he remembered he watched the Marathon of all of the
PBS specials I did that evening.
I told a story about my son John Leslie was talking about determination giving up and I said I want you to do this.
It was not over until I met, I was laying the neck for my son John and John Leslie. I was not going to play the next one. I've been about 15 games spring.
I'm ready to go to sleep now. He just said, “no dad, sit down.”
I said why? He said, “it's not over until I win.”
Honestly, I'm not going to give you any chances I'm going to give you I haven't asked me to downplay that.
I said okay, if you want to audition out, I'll be involved in board games.
And finally, John literally won the 11th game and he stood up he says, “Okay, I'm ready “
But what if we could face rejection and know again and again and again and have doors
slammed in our faces and rather than becoming discouraged, we say to ourselves, “it's not over until I win.”
See you next week
