Lesson 67 - Don't Sweat the Small Stuff

As you already know, life happens to all of us.

And when it does, we have a choice.

I think that's the greatest ability that man has above the animals to choose what he's going to surrender to what he's going to embrace.

We can choose to be miserable, or we can choose to embrace happiness.

When you focus on problems, you have a state of mind that this is a hassle.

When you look at life as a classroom, everything that happens to you, you see it as a challenge instead of it being a problem...

You see it as a project for you to work through…

You must understand that challenges are things that really make life worthwhile…

They stimulate you and enable you to begin to grow and to expand beyond your wildest imagination.

It’s during the down moments when you experience growth.

That's when you discover yourself, not when things are going well.

But when things are extremely challenging, that's when life really reveals itself.

That's when you discover your TRUE identity.

You can discover how boundless and unstoppable you are.

You’ve got to keep on keeping on.

People who are working on their dreams and developing themselves, have a different kind of walk…

they have different kinds of energy.

You can tell in the tempo of their conversation.

They walk differently…

They have a lot of energy; they have a glow about them.

People who aren't working on their dream, you can tell through the movement or body language---

through the voice conversation, they're real slow.

Are you smiling and laughing throughout the day?

You’ve got to learn how to laugh at yourself.

They say there are two rules to living a long life.

Rule number one: don't sweat the small stuff.

Rule number two: it's all small stuff.
