In the first part of the series, we talked about the winning mindset.
See when you have a winner’s mindset, you have a sense of adventure.
According to Helen Keller, life is either a daring adventure, or it’s boring.
You’re like a kid, you don’t know what you can’t do.
And then this winner’s mindset enables you see life differently from other people.
Because I believe we live in a world where we know more about our limitations rather than our potential.
After hearing those things repeatedly of what we can’t do, we buy into it unconsciously.
But I’m saying to you, as you look at your life right now, I want you to think about your life… I want you to look at what you’ve done thus far.
I want you to look into the future…
And I want you to raise the bar on yourself.
You see, people who know and have a sense of greatness and have that winner’s mindset, live meaningful lives DELIBERATELY.
It’s no accident.
They are intentional about it.
When you have a winner’s mindset, you spend your time and energy looking for the solution.
You see, whatever you focus on the longest becomes the strongest and the winners know that… so they’re always looking for a way out.
They’re looking for a breakthrough.
Take some time every day when you first wake up in the morning because whatever you
expose your mind to the first 20 minutes in the morning will affect the spirit of your day.
Get up in the morning with a spirit of gratitude…
I’m still here.
I’ve given I’ve been given another day of life…
Spiritualize your thoughts with some words that has a meaning for you that can touch your mind and your spirit.
Pray or meditate on some quota, or scripture that has some value for you.
And then review your goals and think about the things that you want to do on that day.
Think about the things you want to get out of the day.
The average person is just thinking about making it through the day.
We've been programmed to live for a pension rather than our passion.
I believe that we've been programmed to think in terms of making our parents proud.
I have a friend of mine, the reason that he became a lawyer… was because his father was a
lawyer.
His grandfather was a lawyer.
It was not his dream.
It was his parents’ dream.
What is YOUR dream?
What is it that YOU want to do?
Here's what I know about you: You have greatness within you.
But when you have a winner’s mindset, you’re thinking--- I’m going to get what I want out of this
day, because I’m going to exchange a day of MY life for it.
You want to tame your mind, and train it by listening to motivational messages on a regular
basis for about 20 to 30 minutes a day, when you first wake up, while you’re exercising or going
for walks.
And before you retire in the evening, want to write your goals down and review them.
You want to have an accountability partner, where you’re talking to each other and holding each
other accountable for the things that you say that you’re going to do.
And make sure you follow through on those things.
Do whatever is required to make it happen.
We really have to get into a ritual.
You've got to be willing to DIE to who you are now to give birth to who you must become.
And that takes courage.
Courage is not the absence of fear.
Courage is the willingness to act in spite of fear.
Be willing to work on your mind. Be willing to re-invent yourself to become the miracle worker.
