Lesson 31 - It’s Do or Die

Many of us go through life with the brakes on…

The brakes of fear, procrastination, unworthiness, and negative thinking…

These prevent us from giving all that we have and sharing all that we have to share.

You don’t have 1000 years to accomplish your goals.

You're here today and may be gone tomorrow.

How much time do you have, I don't know.

Develop hunger and the sense that you have to use up your time on this planet.

When you get discouraged and you will take hunger to develop the courage to try again and again and never quit.

Some people are naturally hungry.

Some have hunger imposed upon them by circumstance.

If you're not naturally motivated, you're going to have to learn how to make yourself hungry.

Review your goals TWICE, every day.

Be obsessed with achieving them.

After I get up in the morning and review my goals, I write down ideas that might enable me to reach them.

I try not to judge the merit too much at first, I just write first and evaluate them later.

Reflect on what truly motivates you.

Develop hunger by taking responsibility for your life.

Nobody's going to care more about your goals than you. Nobody is going to put more time in on them than you.

You have to find your own source of hunger and motivation and let it drive you was once a Roman general who realized this as he was about to say his reluctant troops in battle, and when they were greatly outnumbered, the general knew his men would be highly motivated when they weren't.

After his army had sailed to the enemy's land and unloaded on the hostile shore.

He gave the order for his own ships to be burned.

The General then commanded his troops: “we win or we die”… that strong motivation will build your hunger to develop a do or die attitude.

Burn your ships…

Do more than you are paid for.

Develop the habit of setting standards that others will measure themselves by.

Make this your motto.

Do not go where the path may lead where there is no path and leave a trail.

See you next week
